Portable power for lifting as well as pulling
The PCH1000 is a Honda GXH50-powered capstan hoist for lifting equipment and pulling loads on site. Unlike Portable Winch’s pulling-only models, it is designed to raise, hold and lower loads with the specified rope and lifting setup.
Features and benefits
- Hold between movements. The Progressive Capture System retains the rope when you pause and allows controlled lowering as described in the manual.
- Stationary at idle. A centrifugal clutch keeps the capstan drum still until the pull is engaged.
- Adapt the pace. An optional 85 mm drum increases speed to 18 m/min but reduces single-line lifting capacity to 175 kg and direct pull to 540 kg; sold separately.
Rope and use
The manufacturer specifies low-stretch, double-braided polyester rope, 12–13 mm in diameter. Pulling and lifting ratings are different. For lifting, the manufacturer specifies its 12 mm rope with a spliced eye and thimble. Use the required lifting accessories and anchoring arrangement, and follow the hoist manual.
