Description
Battery power for faster, lighter-load pulls
The EDER Winch 400 B prioritises rope speed for lighter timber movement and ground-level recovery. Its STIHL battery drive avoids fuel handling and exhaust at the machine, with straightforward starting between pulls.
Features and benefits
- Keep lighter loads moving. Fast gearing suits repeated moves where line speed matters more than maximum force.
- Control through the rope. Tension at the free end operates the winch; the rope brake clamps the line when tension is released.
- Take power beyond vehicle access. A portable body and capstan drive allow long rope runs without a storage spool.
Rope and use
The manufacturer specifies synthetic rope, 8–10 mm in diameter. Compatible with STIHL AP batteries marked S and the newer STIHL AP ALLPRO batteries marked P. Running time varies with load, battery and working conditions.
For pulling only; do not use for lifting. Follow the operating instructions for safe setup and load control.
